The 16th November 2010 saw the Tameside and District Ladies Golf League Presentation held at Denton Golf Club, the league is run over the course of the year and sees ladies teams from Ashton Under Lyne, Denton, Dukinfield, Fairfield, Werneth Low and Stamford take part. Ashton had previously won this competition in 2000 and 2002 and then after a short break away from the league found themselves victorious again this year. The prize night itself was a great success; ladies attending enjoyed a team quiz on arrival followed by a light meal and then finally the presentation of the shield.

Ashton Under Lyne Golf Club’s Ladies section have made the best start possible for the 2011 season by taking the maximum 12 points from their opening two games in the Tameside and District Golf League, this is a competition and trophy Ashton’s Ladies currently hold.
