We have a short waiting list for male six and seven day members but continue to welcome new mid week membership applications here at Ashton under Lyne Golf Club. Those applying for midweek membership until a weekend space becomes available will be given priority on the list over those who merely wish to wait. As a membership focused club we take pride in retaining members once they join us, building friendships on and off the course.

If you are new to the game, a seasoned player or are just looking for social membership to enjoy the clubhouse and surroundings, get in touch we’d be delighted to have a chat.

At Ashton-under-Lyne Golf Club you’ll enjoy unlimited access to the course, clubhouse and practice facilities, all in a beautiful and peaceful countryside setting. The course is fair yet challenging, with four sets of tees so both experienced golfers and those wanting to relax can enjoy their game. Additional perks include competitions, matches, social events and reciprocal arrangements with other clubs.

Membership Options and Categories

We offer a varying range of options so members can play their golf that best suits their lifestyle.
From seven day memberships to mid-week only options, junior and ladies’ academies, country members, and social memberships there is an option for everyone.
Whether you wish to play weekly or continue your tie with Ashton-under-Lyne despite living further a field, we’re the perfect home club for you to play your golf.

Fees

Annual subscription rates start from £1,150 for seven-day membership, with reduced rates for mid-week or junior categories. A joining fee will apply for certain categories – contact the office for more information or see below.

  • Joining Fee Information

    In addition to the annual fees noted below a joining fee of £575 is payable. The fee is NOT applicable to female applicants as we are currently under-represented in this section. It is not applicable to the five-day mid-week category as the course is currently under-utilised mid week. Please see below for details:

    – Applicable to new male members ONLY, aged 26 years or over on the date membership commences.
    – Fee of £575 payable up front or by direct debit over a maximum of 24 months (or any combination thereof by agreement with the Club Manager).
    – Payable upon joining country, 6 or 7 day categories only.

  • Social Membership

    Social Membership provides members with access to all Club Functions, and a Member’s Card to provide discounts at the bar.

  • CASC

    Any prospective member whose financial circumstances do not allow him or her to pay an annual membership subscription and associated costs of more than £520.00 is invited to apply to the General Manager in writing or by e-mail to [email protected] and demonstrate that any sum above this figure is not affordable. An application will then be considered by the Management Committee and if accepted, an alternative fee structure will be offered to the applicant.
